605, cylinder release screw backed out after a couple hundred rounds, made trigger reset iffy. Tightened it and used some loctite.

PT99, sometimes fails to get fully into battery with rounds that are right at max OAL. Seat a couple thousandths deeper and the problem goes away. No factory rounds I've used are close enough to max to have that problem.

I have a Taurus Millennium Pro PT-745 and I had the same problem when I first got it. The mag kept dropping out after the first round was fired. I thought it must be a faulty mag release button, but when I sent it in to Taurus they said the slide was the problem. They replaced the slide and I have had no problems since.

I have a PT917SS. Awesome handgun. Absolutely no problems. Even used for a tactical handgun class. 1600 rounds in two days. Absolute reliability. Wish those guys with their Sig's, and even a Glock or two could say the same thing in that class. Even during failure drills, it operated smoothly.

I voted minor problem, repaired without sending it in. I broke a locking block on a PT92 with around 5000 rounds through it. Taurus-Miami sent me another block.
I also own a PT111-no issues with 1000+ rounds.
A PT145 with no issues, and just fired it's 2000+ round a couple of weeks ago.
And a stainless PT1911 with just over 3000 rounds with no issues.

The PT145 is my carry firearm, so I suppose I can say I trust my life with it. :thumbs2:

Do not vote, own 2 Taurus' PT140, has mag drop issue thought it was me hittin release but from other forums appears they have an issue with the magazine lock pin and or spring so if the pro lem crops up again this weekend at the range I'll have the guys at the range ship it back to Taurus for me.

The Judge no problems outside of finding 45LC hp rounds, and too bulky for my carry situation.

Thank goodness for my Kahr CW40, SP101, and if I can find some new mags Hsc 380 springs getting a little weak.

I had a PT145 that had a magazine issue - one of the two would consistently not lock the slide back after the last round. I sold it before addressing the issue with Taurus, though. I was hearing too many stories about horrid wait times to mess with it at that point.

Besides, I had caught 1911 fever!

Anybody happen to know how hard it would be to get a .400CorBon barrel for the .45 model? I liked the grips on the last 24/7 I handled, and that round has some pretty impressive ballistics.

one time at the range i had a FTF .

i'm thinking it was due to a combination of a little limp wrist and the feed ramp dirty from about 100 rounds .
i have been back since and had no problems .

i voted minor problem due to the one incident .
I had a Pt145 also but mine required a couple hundred rounds to get broke in. But it might have been the ammo I was using(winchester 230 grn fmj). Didn't like it so I traded it. It kicked more than I was comfortable with. I just bought a Judge Public Defender and have a Slim 709 on the away. Once i hit the range with them will update.

PT99, always worked, but...............i wouldn't trust my life to a Taurus. This one would be the one if I had to. But with Glocks and Sigs around the house....

I never got too worried about lack of fire power from my 9's until I got a 45. Man, that bad boy rips! :fire
