I can not recall ever seeing an ugly 1911.

Now Glocks......

Glocks are a different kind of beautiful.
And the evidence of beautiful Glocks is shown in the 42 page long thread located where?

It is a Dan Wesson CBOB with aftermarket grips.

I sold it to a friend. Now I miss it terribly.

I haven't contributed to this in a while and I have added a few to the collection since last I posted on this thread.

Image

From the top right down:

1) Colt Commander.45 ACP, stainless, with sides of frame and slide teflon coated black. Wilson night sights, all Colt guts removed and replaced with STI parts. 3.5 trigger job. Dan Wesson extended magazine well. RIght now it has some old Pachmeyer grips on it but I'm looking for some Coco-bolo to match the silver and black two tone job.

2) Kimber Pro-Carry .38 Super HD II, night sights, Dan Wesson extended magazine well, and Rosewood double diamond grips.

3) STI Ranger II .45 ACP. Dan Wesson ext. mag well and rosewood double diamond grips. Fiber optic front sight and a mainspring housing that matches the custom grip surface on the front strap.

Center row from top:

4) Springfield Operator .45 ACP. Dan Wesson ext. mag well and coyote black rough surface grips. Night sights, and a 20 LPI main spring housing.

5) Kimber Pro-Carry .45 ACP light wright, night sights, Dan Wesson extended magazine well, and Rosewood double diamond grips.

6) Colt Gold Cup .45 ACP. Custom white outlined rear bo-mar sight. Double diamond rosewood grips with Colt medalions. Dan Wesson extended beavertail added and Dan Wesson ext mag well also added.

3rd row on the left:

7) Custom made .45 ACP on a Caspian frame and slide. Stainless steel with the bottom receiver having a light rail. Novak adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front. Kart stainless steel 5" barrel with ramp. Match bushing and GI guide rod and spring. Cylinder and slide super match series trigger group, guts, and hammer. Smith and Alexander ext mag and Dan Wesson thumb safety and slide catch.

Well, I thought I might have posted these already, but looked through and searched this topic and couldn't find it, so I'll post them now:
