Storing my guns
What I need are some ideas on how to store my guns at home.
I have been looking at some drawer safes, but I want to have quick easy access for home protection. I have a Ruger P94 9mm, and my wife has a Taurus 650 357 mag. Any info is helpful.
Thank you and be safe

I've seen THESE advertised in American Handgunner magazine and I've been thinking of getting one. I'm not sure what they cost though.

I've been impressed with the...
Biometric sensor systems, that require only the sweep of a fingertip to unlock and open a quick reaction safe...
I have the flyer they put out at the NRA convention a while back...
The price seems to be acceptable, and the technology looks very reliable...
I wish I had the link info right here...I'd post it...I'll get it in here soon...

I've got a couple of the gun vaults.
I like em.
They open pretty quick, and can be operated by feel in the darkness. They do make beeping noise when you operate the keypad though.
Had em for years, use em all the time, and they're still on the original set of batteries.
Just make sure to keep your keys secure. I put the spare keys in another safe.

What about...
The slamming open of the vault door...To me, thats pretty loud...Braden wrote:If I understood their website correctly, that beep can be disabled.Paladin wrote: They do make beeping noise when you operate the keypad though.
But I suppose by that time you've got yer hands on the weapon and are ready to deal with the "issue"...
Some of those quick reaction safes/vaults have an internal light as well...
Do some of these issues concern some of you at all???
I'm just curious, not trying to be an instigator or anything...
I believe any system, whether its one of the standard quick-reaction four-finger punch code systems, or the newer biometric sensor systems will do the job...It may be more of a $$$ question for you than anything else to have to consider...
I'm thinking about getting a biometric system for my RV travel trailer...Might be neat to have, to secure the important stuff, along with "other" important stuff...

Looked at the manual last night and sure enough there is a way to disable it!Braden wrote:If I understood their website correctly, that beep can be disabled.Paladin wrote: They do make beeping noise when you operate the keypad though.
My safes are much more quiet now. Thanks!
