Bought my first!

#1

Post by RebelKangaroo »

Just bought a new Beretta PX4 earlier this afternoon. After months of research on which gun to buy myself I had finally decided I would get a Walther PPS and then later get a PX4 to have a full size as well as mag compatibility with my future CX4 carbine.

Then yesterday I saw in Bullet Trap they had a PX4 on sale for $399 ($432 otd). That's about $125 off normal sticker price so I was curious. It turns out that not a lot of people in this area like the PX4 C model (constant action - similar to Sig DAK) and they were trying to sell them off to make room for new stock. That was the model I was looking for as I prefer constant to traditional DA/SA, so my plans for a PPS will wait another couple of months while I shop around for a deal.

All in all I'm very happy to have my first gun that I've bought myself. And with a great deal too!

Btw, if anyone else is looking for one there's still at least 1 left as of about 4 pm today.

I hope the PX4 works well for you, and I know you will love the CX4 once you find one. I love my CX4.

I purchased the PX4 DA/SA model and love it. Unfortunately I paid regular price. I have put about 400 rnds through it and just like the M9 I carry at work.... Not a lick of problems. GL and Happy shooting!

Grats on your first purchase and to getting a deal in this day and age. I just sold a PX4 for the same price you paid, but mine was used. I liked the pistol a lot and never had any failures with it. I just found something that fits my hand a little better. I also looked at the PPS, but it was a little pricey and has low capacity. Have fun and keep shooting.

That's a good deal on a new PX4. What caliber did you get?

I love my PX4 9mm F model. I was shooting much better groups last weekend than with my Glock, and my friend was shooting better with it than with his Beretta 92FS. What caliber did you get, and do you know the caliber of the one they had left in stock?

I got a 9mm.

Well, the PPS is entirely for CC duty. I like the PX4, especially this version without the safety sticking out. But I doubt I can conceal it that well.

I am a jeans and tshirt kinda guy and have found my MTAC does a great job of concealing my PX4 .40 at about 3:30. This was after a few trial and errors finding aholster i liked. In fact I bought a MTAC for both my beretta and XD9 SC and have found I went from a primarily COB carry to 3:30 almost all the time except when I am wearing a tank top.
