My son and wife are going to hear this.. over and over.. Good stuff.. My dad did the same to me.. Almost yelling when I would have a completely disassembled gun that I was cleaning.. he went nutz because it was facing in his direction.. his words "you dont EVER point a gun at anyone" - I said, but dad..its in 5 pieces .. he replied.. "I dont care, you dont ever ever ever have it pointed in an unsafe direction"

Great post, thank you.

Furthermore, it would cost the manufacturer's nothing to have this message added into the manuals that accompany their products. In fact, the reference to "Human Mistakes" could possibly lessen Mfgr's. liability.

Very nice read. I will have to show this to my wife. She was getting mad when I was yelling at her to check her weapon.

Seems as though the gunowner is the one that deserves the black eye. The girl is lucky that is the only damage.
