What's the bullet weight on those .40s of yours? I carry the 180 grain Hydro-Shoks in my USP Compact, and I've never seen a measureable setback after multiple cyclings. The 180s have a more truncated cone shape than the ones you've shown here in your OP. That's the only reason I haven't just shot the ammo and got more. And trying to find reasonably priced self defense ammo in .40 these days is harder than it needs to be.

Good point. The box for these rounds is long gone, so don't know grain weight details. But I do also have some of the 180-grain hyrdra-shocks with the more truncated cone shape. So these are obviously different. I have not had the 180-grains nearly as long, but so far have not noticed this problem with them.

My .45 Hydro-Shoks setback a bit also. I probably only cycled it 4 or 5 times. It looked just like the pic in the OP.
