Academy on Spencer on B8 has Monarch 45 and 9mm, as well as .308 and .223. There are limits, 5-10 boxes depending on what you get.

Carter's on Wilcrest was fairly well stocked today, hard to say if they still are.

How come folks are failing to give the prices??? A place could have 500 boxes but if they are trying to make me their prison wife, I don't need it that bad. I don't have much to do these days, but I would rather not spend my time laughing at a clerk over the price for ammo. If it is out of line for what I think it should cost, I won't buy it.

How much fellows...pretty please?

LOL!!! Sorry, the ammo I found was just over $10 a box of 50. Don't remember exactly, but it was like $10.30 or something like that.

As things are, that's not bad for 9mm. Geez; just two years ago that's what I was paying for good .45 ACP.

You folks who are stockpiling (and I understand why) close to reaching full yet?
I support what and why you are doing it, but I haven't been able to find any ammo. As such I can't go to the range and
work on my skills or become close to my new XD-M. Just looking for light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for the prices...that is actually not bad for the present situation. Of coarse I am sure it is all gone at this point. :banghead:

Prices of PMC Bronze FMJ 9mm at Carter's was $18, at Academy Monarch brass FMJ is $15, Monarch 45 is $18 if you can find it. In my mind, prices are important, but finding it is more important. That, and every time someone posts here someone has 45, I go and they are out already, it's just a right place, right time thing for all of us. So far Academy, Wally and Carter's Country haven't been gouging IMO, they're prices are higher than last year and that's understandable, but Gander and Bass Pro have and are gouging, again IMO. YMMV.

Silverhawk, I agree, sooner or later credit cards will hit their limit and this "crisis" should end. Personally, I don't use credit except when required (rental cars, hotels, etc) and never carry a balance. My job takes me all over the Houston area and I have all Academy's in my GPS, I do have to sell some of my booty to my boss though. :evil2:

I practice at least once a week, 100-200 rounds a session, ammo is a problem, but it's getting better I think.

Academy, McKinney Texas, 380 east of 75. $10 a box for 9 mil. Guy says they get 5 cases every few days - and still they sell out. They had plenty tonight though.

Stockpiling? Hardly. That's the first ammo I've found in about 2 months. Hence, I haven't been able to go to the range in about 2 months. I have a CHL class coming up on the 30th, needed 100 rounds for that. Needed another 100 so I could go to the range some time between now and then. So after 1 trip to the range and the class, I'll be out again.
