Are you sure it's not $55 per box?....

I'm waiting for a box of 100 FMJ .380 from an AuctionArms.com auction. $70.00 for 100 rounds shipped WB Winchester.

Here's a scoop, Academy on I10 and Market near Baytown has Monarch .380 FMJ today, limit 3, and they had a lot. I'm thinking of going back for a second round even though I work near Hobby. Forgot the price-$13.99 for 50rds.

The Academy on 1604 and Portranco has had a 2 box limit for a while which has been fine and I've just gotten in the habit of going in and saying 'Give me my limit of 9mm'. The Academy on 410 and Military also has limits but never seems to have any 9mm, but they did today. So I go and say the same thing and the guy hands me 10 boxes.

On a side note, I finally found a CX4 I had been looking for for months, but had to drive up to Austin to pick it up. On the way back, just for kicks, I stopped at an obscure Walmart and they had 4 boxes of Remington bulk 250 count 9mm for $48.97 each. Triple bag them please.

Dick's Sporting Goods in Bee Cave (Austin) got some ammo in yesterday. I bought a 10 box case of Remington 9mm today. They didn't have a lot of ammo on the shelf, but looked like they had gotten a smattering of calibers.....

By the way, if you get the Tx Parks & Wildlife 2009 hunting/fishing booklet, it has a $10 off $25> purchase at Dick's coupon, and it's good for Ammo (most of their coupons exclude ammo).

I bought some .45 ACP Monarch Brass at Academy in Pasadena at Fairmont and BW8 today. They limited me to 5 boxes (250). They had quite a bit of 9mm, .40SW and others. Good luck! :txflag:

Thanks for the tip Troutbum. I went today and they still have .223 but that was it. I'll just wait for the backorder from Cabela's.

Did a pop in at Wally World today. They had nada...zip...zero...none of anything. Talk to the clerk. he said they are only getting trickles of ammo in now. Few boxes here and there. He said that the warehouse is splitting the ammo up between all locations and that ends up meaning a few boxes to each one...not cases...LOL...boxes. They did have a sign that said 6 box limit and he said that was corporate policy handed down due to all the ammo hogs sucking up everything in sight.

By the way....is there some kind of law concerning how much ammo one can have in their home. He mentioned something about 10K rounds of any single caliber and then you are required to have some kind of permit. Anyone ever heard this before. Sounds nuts to me. Heck...22 long rifle could put a lot of people into this category.

I do not want to talk out of turn but i think the whole 10k limit is for a business. If you have more than 10k rounds on the shelf you are required to have an armory to store the bulk ammo.

I have not heard of such a thing for a home.
