Re: Introduce yourself
Been lurking for a while. Some members know me from Facebook or other forums.
Brandon Sneed
Originally from Lubbock, recently relocated to Snyder, Texas (vicinity rather). Accountant. 27 years old. Married to my college sweetheart. Proud father of one girl (so far). Wife loves to shoot, carries her own very well with Bersa 380 and KelTec P3AT.
I carry an XD 40 Service. Starting an AR Build (Essential Arms lower/Del-ton Upper/RRA Trigger). No projects or new firearms until I get a new truck.
CHL for a while now (received in September or so?). Carry everywhere legally. Work requires me not to have in my car... we're in the Petroleum industry... so working on getting a waiver (which is allowed). Two dogs, hate cats.
I enjoy several individuals on this forum for their candacy and wisdom. Thanks Chas for bringing me here. The Wife and I hope to meet up with you the next time we're in your neck of the woods. We visit that entire area every year at least once. We'd love to take you and your wife for dinner sometime.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome, sneedb82 & CDH.
As you've both been lurking, I'm sure it's obvious that there is a lot of knowledge and interesting info here.
I hope you don't do like me and stray from the forum for a long period of time, as it's the good folks here
that make it so interesting.

Re: Introduce yourself
I was away for a couple of weeks after we moved because of lack of internet.... and while at work, it's a huge distraction (to my bosses mostly)... so I try to limit my activity to lunch or close to the end of the afternoon.HOSSISFREE wrote:Welcome, sneedb82 & CDH.

Looking forward to a relaxing couple of weeks... before I start my MBA. Then i'll have to limit myself again.... thanks for the words of encouragement...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello everyone. Just graduated Tom and Tami's class last Saturday. I am trying to pinch enough money out of the budget for my CHL while saving for a wedding. Until then I am trying to learn every cm of my Taurus 24/7 Pro DS and sporting it around the house.
I'd rather have a gun and not need it, than need a gun and not have it.

Re: Introduce yourself
Sunnovah, you had very good instructors! Welcome to TexasCHLforum, we're looking forward to your input. Others new to concealed carry like hearing the experiences of those who recently joined our ranks, so don't hesitate to post.

What's the question?
I have lived 53 years, some of it in some pretty shady places, without needing a weapon; but if I ever need one, I want to have one.
I don't particularly enjoy paying the state to enjoy my God-given rights, but that's the way it is for now.

Re: Introduce yourself
Howdy,
Found this site after I took the CHL class but before I sent in my paperwork. This site helped in making sure I had everything I needed before I sent in the paperwork which was a week ago so I know I have a few months to go. I qualified on the range with my XD 40 service but soon will be checking with local gun stores of trading it for a XD 40SC. I already know the holster I will be getting which will be from fellow Texan D.M. Bullard. I am pretty excited! See y'all!

Re: Introduce yourself
Welcome to the party! This is the place I send everyone I meet who wants to get their CHL. I originally found Texas CHL Forum while I was waiting for my plastic to arrive and wished I'd discovered it sooner.texasflyfisher wrote:Howdy,
