Just heard from one of the dealers. He said it is in hall A (east end) this time if that helps anyone park closer.

I haven't been to the HGCA show in a long time. Is it OK to bring in a handgun for sale or trade like we do at the convention center in Pasadena? I'll probably go Sat after work .

Re: Houston Gun Show
I went.
Looked at the sign above the entrance doors that said among other things the people entering are subject to search and that "No weapons of any kind allowed. This includes handguns carried in accordance with the Concealed Handgun Law" or somesuch nonsense, chuckled to myself and walked right on in, right past a gaggle of cops, and all the way down the long hall and bought a ticket. Then I went into one of the restrooms, found a stall and unloaded my Glock. Then I went and got it zip tied by one of the nice HPD officers and carried it around in my hand in the holster while I browsed the tables. A couple of people asked me if I was selling it. Upon leaving, I went to the restroom again and loaded back up.
Oh, I almost forgot. I picked up a beat-up old single-action .22LR revolver to have fun with.

I carried open all day . No rounds in the mag. Also had a few people asking if I was selling.
I picked up a Sig 556 and an Aimpoint Comp Ml3. I was just beaten to the punch on a nice Rock River set up twice. Damn it!!!! was cut in front of both times.

Re: Houston Gun Show
I went late on Sunday like a fool and didn't find a darn thing. Only talked to a few friendly people...most were looking pretty tired and irritated. I was looking for an Ak or a CZ75 with a de-cocker. I could not find a deal on either. They were there, but no deal to be had. If I want to pay full price I'll go support my local gun shop. It was nice to look though.
