Hi, I just found out about this forum from the Two-Wheeled Texans Forum and absolutely love it. Your Ladies section has been especilly helpful. To introduce myself:

Age: 33
Gender: Female

Years CHL: almost 2 years
Carry guns/equipment: still working on that. I have a Glock 26 and a Kel-Tec P32 for carry until something else catches my eye :)

DragonKat:
My wife has carried more guns than I have over the years! They include: S&W Mod. 37 (2" 38 Special); Glock 23; Glock 27; Colt Commander in .45 ACP, SIG 239 in .40 S&W and a Kimber Ultra Carry (.45 ACP). Her favorite is the Kimber and she'll probably stay with it. It’s the thinnest and easiest to conceal and it’s also a light gun.

I would also suggest you look at both a good IWB holster for whatever you choose, as well as the Milt Sparks 60TK OWB.

Regards,
Chas.

Welcome DKat. Even us guys are glad to see another lady in the huddle. I am one of those that reysc is referring to about the average age being up above several grandchildren. ;-) KT P32 is good for pocket carry. I keep one in my back pocket when I cant have my primary. Mom carries the P3AT as her primary now. You are in good company. Welcome aboard.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Welcome to all who have joined in the last few weeks. Sorry I haven't added my welcome sooner, but I've been on kind of an internet vacation. Been spending more time with the kiddies.

DragonKat:

I'll second the bringing the age average down. Good to have another besides myself that's thirtysomething. As Charles said, the small Kimbers ( or any small 1911) are good guns. Slap a set of thin grips on and you can't get much thinner.

I also carry a Kel-Tec P3AT. Great little gun. It seems more and more like it has been my main carry lately.

It's good to see more and more ladies joining. Keeping the levels of testosterone in check is a really good thing.

Again, Welcome. Sorry I'm late.
