Leather holsters
I am planning on purchasing a HK 45C soon and have been searching the internet for a holster and Ive narrowed it down to two. The two I like are Southern Trappers Professional and Privateers Highman, do any of you have any experience with these two holsters? Im not interested in any other holster choices but these two.

This isn't a flippant answer but I suggest you buy both. I have about 10x the holsters than handguns, some are okay, some are great and some are a total waste of money.

Re: Leather holsters
Sir, LT here. I am one of the real old hands here. These are 2 new brand names to me and I am sure to others on the forum. I am a retired instructor. Have worn leather for years. Carried since the beginning. I know several others with a lot of leather experience here too.
If you would give their web sites I would be glad to look at them and give you an experienced opinion and see that would help any. I will be sure to tell you if I find any real flaws in design or workmanship.
Also I am always interested in the chance to look at quality products.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.

For that kind of money, I'd go with a name I knew... The southern trapper is similar to the I-Bak by Milt Sparks but the Sparks is molded all on the outside for extreme comfort and is a known commodity.

The other one I would steer you towards would be the Tucker HF1- also a gem and universally loved.

No disrespect meant towards the 2 you mentioned... they may be very good, I just never heard any reviews of them. The Privateer is a name I've hear a couple times over the years but the Tucker and Sparks are names I hear weekly and in the last 10 + years, I can't recall a single complaint. That says a lot.

Re: Leather holsters
I have no experience with either of these brands, but I did look at them. I found these two websites:
https://www.thesoutherntrapper.com/
https://www.privateerleather.com/
I am not an expert with holsters and my decisions have generally been made for me (military or agency rules). I am in the market right now for a new holster because I haven't found one I like yet for my latest carry gun. I have a problem where very few companies seem to list my specific model (Springfield XDM-10) and I don't quite trust when they list generic models (some say XDM or XDM-45) even though it should work.
From a purely personal viewpoint, of these two I would choose the Southern Trapper but it is for a reason you may not agree with. I like a thumb snap on my holsters. This is in part from my training (though I know it is very little security) and in part from the things I do. I do not want to drop a pistol when I get active for any reason (I keep thinking of the FBI agent dancing, though I don't dance). This may not be a matter for you to worry about.
If you get one of these, I would really like to know how it works out. I am seriously considering the Tucker HF-1 right now, but I would need to call them about the pistol also.
I will also add that I would seriously consider any advice from LT. I respect his opinion greatly.
