I have access to a big gift certificate for Pro Bass Shop? Do they have handguns? What brands?

Yes, they do! That's where I got my first handgun, a Smith & Wesson. They also have Springfield, Glock, and a bunch more. I'm sure others will chime in.

They do indeed have handguns. I can't remember everything they have, but have seen S&W, Ruger, Beretta, Glock, Springfield, Taurus, H&K...

Their handgun prices are quite inflated. If your gift certificate doesn't cover the price of a handgun you want, you might want to spend it on ammo instead.

Yeah they do, but as it was stated they're a bit high.

Bass pro usually has a deal or two on nice gunsafes if you're in need of one. I bought mine there after shopping around quite a bit. The Bass pro deal couldn't be beat.

I worked there at the Grapevine store a few years ago.

Be patient-- Wait for the Holiday sales. They're not too far away.

As I recall, their markup is minimal on all firearms as to be competitive

with their competition. The employees could not get a discount on such

items for this reason.

Good Luck,

no used guns

I was surprised to see no used guns there.
Do they not take trade-ins?

I know Cabelas takes trades, and also actively seeks used guns to sell.

I haven't told my wife yet...

But there is a new BPS opening at Beltway 8 and I-288...

Just an exit off on my way home everyday...

I may get into trouble soon... ;-)

Bass Pro Guns

They do have Guns, but mostly the full size guns. Their selection of compact models is limited and they have absolutly NO pocket guns.

They do have a good selection of revolvers.

Bass Pro is all about "sporting" arms. I've never seen handguns there that are less than full size, and they tend towards revolvers for bear hunters.

I normally never shop on the day after Thanksgiving, but last year I went to Bass Pro and they had a deal on the Springfield XD's. I bought a .40. It wasn't the best deal in the world, but I still haven't seen one cheaper at the gun show... I think I paid $460 for it and it's normally $500.
