The Brave One

#1

Post by Commander »

I've seen a couple of the trailers on TV about "The Brave One" starring Jodie Foster. From what I've learned, the character she plays is a victim of a violent mugging in New York. Her fiance dies; she recovers....buys a gun for "self protection" but becomes a vigilante. Interesting....It was my understanding that she has a real anti-gun attitude...I wonder how the vigilante character is played out? as a gun crazed nut?

Sounds like a re-make of Death Wish.
I'd like to see it but I'm loathe to give my money to a movie that has such an anti-gun twit as Jodie Foster in it.
I get so tired of these so called celebrities who profess to be anti-gun but then use guns in their movies.
Hypocrites.

Sorry for the rant.

Good point.

The list is long......of "movie stars" that are "anti-gun"... who will not hesitate to use one in a movie, (much to their own profit).

Curiously, they have no problem with their body guards possessing guns.

Yes Sir, you hit the nail right on the head. It is truly the height of hypocrisy.

what bothers me most is the sensationalism of the self defense mindset.
"whooooooa, this guy's crazy! he'd actually fight back. insanity!"

is it really that much of a stretch to think that we shouldn't just roll over?

Ideology and political activism take a back seat when a big bucks contract is waved under their greedy noses.
