Winchester white box question

Re: Winchester white box question
I have had only a couple of FTF out several boxes of white box. I like the way the muzzle on my stainless 1911 looks after shooting white box

Re: Winchester white box question
I've shot several thousand rounds of WWB in 9mm, .40 and .45acp. If I've had any issues with the ammo, it hasn't been in enough of a number to reliably remember. With any manufacturer, you run a risk of getting a bad round or two or even a bad box or so. If there are enough malfunctions in a box, it may be worth it to contact them about a refund. If not, chalk it up to bad luck & either try again or try a different brand.

No- I occasionally get ftf with wwb on my hammer fired Sig P250. Hard primersjoe817 wrote:Could there be a correlation between striker fired pistols with FTfireF's to light strikes, as opposed to hammer fired pistols(with firing pins)? I am close to ignorant on striker fired guns, as I've never owned one, and probably never will. I have trust issued. But that's just me & I'm old. LOL.
But the only time I've had FTF's with hammer fired guns, I can only fault myself(ie: dirty firing pin channel, broken firing pin). Just a casual observation of one who's fired thousands of rounds of ammo thru firing pin guns. It has me scratching my head with the incidence of 'failure to fire' on striker fired guns as opposed to guns with a traditional firing pin gun. It just seems like there's more.....but maybe it's just me.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.

FWIW, I had a Glock 22 and 27 for about 10 years with very few failures of any kind and most of those were probably operator error due to limp wristing when doing off hand practice. For the past 2-3 years I've had a 21SF and 30SF and have probably less than 6 failures of any kind with at least 2k rounds through each. Most of all of those failures occurred with that dark red box of Federal ammo and none that I can remember with WWB. I'm sure there's probably been a couple, but none that I recall.
Also, in my experience, I've found that Federal ammo much dirtier than WWB in my handguns.
