This may be a dumb question

I carry my AR in the truck in its case everyday and I have a vortex sparc 2 red dot on it. The question is will the heat cause it to get knocked off zero? Or In the winter time will the cold?

Under "Product Features" on the Vortex website, it says:
Operating Temperature Rated from -4 degrees to +158 degrees Fahrenheit
I think you'll be OK, as long as it doesn't get banged around. :tiphat:

You might watch the batteries in the heat though and be sure you use a good brand of battery. The CR2032 specification is only rated up to 130 degrees F according to the Duracell data sheet, and anything in the sun in the car can get hot pretty fast. II have found that some of the cheap generic brand 2032s will not last much above about 120 in the real world before they die.

Thanks! I didn't think of that. It's in a pretty thick soft shell case so I think it's protected a little more from the heat but your correct. I think I used energizer
