Bullhorn/Megaphone Purchase

#1

Post by jamcgowan »

I am considering purchasing a Bullhorn/Megaphone to use for my classes. I know that many of you already use them. I was hoping that some of you would be so kind as to inform me on what to look for and/or what to purchase along these lines.

Since I have never owned or used one of these devices, I am really in need of some guidance. I don't want to make a poor purchasing decision as I really can't afford the expense.

Thanks for your kind assistance.

This is a decent unit. 50W is plenty and you can hang it on the shoulder strap and use the micrphone so you don't have to hold the bull horn up all the time.

Keith, do you have actual experience with this model? I will be using it primarily in an indoor range but of course might need it outdoors also.

Thanks

Yes, we use this one outdoors. Works well.

Hey Keith, do you know if that model has an input jack? If one could connect the audio jack from a smart phone to the bullhorn, it might make it possible to use the cool little IPSC Shot Timer app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... imer&hl=en) for timing range proficiency...

No it doesn't, but this one " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and this one " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; do. You can see other models here http://www.pyleaudio.com/ProductsList.a ... =megaphone" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My band uses one on stage. I think he purchased it from Fry's.

I use a Pyle that I got at WalMart.com. It is 50w and has the aux input, but I have never attempted using it. Our range is outdoors. It works well.
