Is anyone planning a Instructor range qualification for the Austin area? I would be interested.

I received a email communication from the RSD

No shooting will be done at the Renewal Class.

All Instructors will need to get with another Certified LTC Instructor and shoot the LTC Course of fire with both a revolver and a semi-automatic weapon. Once you have passed both, you will complete the Proficiency portion of the CHL100. Be sure that the top portion and Student Signature area are also completed. I have asked that you write “Instructor Renewal” across the top of the page so it is quickly identified by others in my office as an Instructor document and it is forwarded to me quicker. The CHL100 is due prior to your Renewal Certificate being issued.

Are there any other instructors in Austin interested in getting this done?

I'm not available until the first week in August, but I can help you out if there's not someone else (or we can make a small group out of it; I'm sure there's others in the area that need it).

Me & JMorris got together a couple weeks ago & knocked our qual out, but I don't mind running the qual for others that need it. Just let me know & we can compare calendars.

Deertrax,
Kjolly emailed me & we're narrowing down dates based on each other's availability (looking like a small window in late August). If you guys work something out that'd be mutually beneficial / earlier I won't mind.

And if you're still needing to requal in early August let me know. I don't mind that either.

Thank you Mike S. Late Aug is fine. My renewal class is Wed Aug 16 am, and my only hard commitment is Sat Aug 19. I'm generally available on weekends and willing to schedule during the week with reasonable notice. [I'm still coming up to speed on the forum, so if these communications are better done in PMs, feel free to advise]. I'll PM you and Kjolly to touch base. Thanks again.

Aug 19, or 20th work best for me?
Any ideas which range would be best for you?

Aug 20 works better for me. Aug 19 early AM is a remote possibility. I'm in the Dripping Springs area.
I don't have access to a private range, so it's usually Lone Star (Lockhart), The Range (Austin), or Red's (Oak Hill). Some pros/cons for each. Open to other suggestions.
