Has anyone received any "formal" information that instructors need to teach one course a year to keep their cert?
Here is where you select for a non-nra class...

It doesn't say "Other", it says "Non NRA"
Select that, then enter your non-NRA course information

Does the "Non-NRA" classes qualify to keep up the NRA Basic Pistol Instructor's Certificate current? If so, can I enter Texas CHL class there as well as other defensive pistol classes?

I have been putting in all kinds of classes taught, not just LTC classes under the "Other" portion of Non-NRA classes. My understanding is that they don't necessarily want to see us teaching solely NRA classes, but some kind of pistol related classes so that skills teaching pistol classes are fresh for lack of a better term. Basically, they don't want someone getting a pistol instructor cert and then not teaching anything for a couple of years and then trying to renew it....or so I understand.
