League City LEO Encounter....A++

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

League City LEO Encounter....A++

#1

Post by Kevinf2349 »

So I am driving down South Shore around about 12:15 in the afternoon, closing in on 518 when I get lit up. I pull over into a gated community access road and a League City policeman walks up to my open window. I am thinking all kinds of things, was I speeding (I don't usually), did I roll the Stop sign..again I don't usually (unlike many others on that stretch :nono: ), did I not use my turn signal to change lane? ... again I am usually very careful about that too.

So up he walks to my window and says "Nothing wrong, sir, but you have a stop(brake) light out on the passenger side, can I see your driver license and POI".

Hand over the insurance, he checks it and hands it back. Hand over the DL and CHL, asks me if the address is still valid. I tell him it is, he hands me back the CHL as if it is nothing he needed to know about! He never asked me if I had a weapon or where it was. He runs the DL, hands it back to me, thanks me very politely and off he goes!

What a relief to get a stop out of the way, and what a double relief to only be stopped for the brake light. Wonderful officer, polite, professional and helpful.

ps Brake light is now fixed :)

Nothing really to add here. Glad it worked out well, and the repair was simple and inexpensive. Just wanted to commend you on your choice of avatar. :smilelol5: :thumbs2:

Mrs. Anygun and I lived in LC for 8 years. LCPD are the best, imnsho. Never had an issue with any of them. Fast response, polite, courteous, professional.

League City at one time led the state in # of CHLs/zip code.

Lived in and around League City from the mid 60s until 89 when I left for my 20 in the Navy and lived there in the mid 90s when I recruited out of Baybrook mall. I never had a negative experience with any officers there and even counted about half of the force as friends in the late 80s. Glad to hear that they are still professional. :patriot:
