Joe Straus, at it again

#1

Post by treadlightly »

The legislative session begins tomorrow, yet Joe Straus is already sending out email as Speaker.

I get it that he is technically still Speaker from his last election, but the day before the Speaker's election seems unfortunate timing to brag, as he did in email today, "I am honored to again have the opportunity to represent our community and provide leadership for our entire state."

He's unopposed. He's going to be the next Speaker. But it sure would be nice to relax in a nice atmosphere of denial for another day.

That guy''s gotta go.
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

Why is he unopposed?
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

because if you "oppose" him, you don't get to be on any decent committees. And if you vote against him, you also get punished by way of committee assignments. Sooooo, he's speaker until he doesn't want to be anymore.

Because he has a large portion of the Democratic caucus behind him...since he is a leftist RINO.

And because it didn't end well for those opposing him last time.
