It definitely sounds like she has not yet finalized her position on this one.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
I spoke recently with Rep. Krause's chief of staff and brought HB560 to his attention. He was unaware of the bill and thanked me for informing him about it. Hopefully he will be able to speak to Rep. Krause and make him aware of the bill and its importance to all LTC holders.
Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
Hello all! Long time reader, first time posting. I have a question about post offices and parking lots. As I understand it, it is currently illegal for me to even have a weapon in my car in the parking lot of any federal building. Would HB560 change this?
Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
HB560 would be state law and would have no effect on federal law. Isn't it a good feeling to be a felon every time you mail a letter?Treybadd wrote:Hello all! Long time reader, first time posting. Yes it is Illegal, No HB560 Will not make it legal. HB560 if passed would be a state law which do not over ride federal regulations

Well, that is dissapointing. It is absolutely ridiculous to prevent us from even having it in the car.

I agree. I would recommend writing your Congressman/Congresswoman and ask them to sponsor some legislation to remove that as an off limits location.Treybadd wrote:Well, that is dissapointing. It is absolutely ridiculous to prevent us from even having it in the car.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
I suppose post offices could be added to the HB 38 reciprocity bill, but that might make the whole bill less likely to pass. The bill does make other government property (e.g. Army Corps of Engineer land) legal to carry on.Flightmare wrote:I agree. They can pledge to support the bill once it reaches the Senate floor for debate.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
There are two ways. If a Senate companion bill is filed, they can sign onto it and/or support it. If no companion is filed, then they can support it when it comes to the Senate. Asking them for support now shows him/her that the bill has wide support and increases the chance of a companion bill being filed.Russell wrote:Honest question - how can a Senator provide support for a house bill?
