The thread on yesterday's house session got very long and has morphed into today's session. This thread is just to start clean for today's session - covering any action on gun bills, i.e. HB910 or SB11. We might even hear HB554.

Looks like there's a concerted effort underway to strip away yes votes from HB910 concurrence vote:

@lmcgaughy tweet
Police across state today, incl. @CLEAT, Dallas Police Assoc and @HPOUTX speaking out against Huffines #opencarry amendment today #txlege
Prediction: if House does not concur and HB910 goes to conference, you can stick a fork in the bill.

If HB910 fails because House does not concur then the blame will fall on every R member who voted against concurrence (they won't be able to blame Straus like with SB11).

Primary ad: "Rep X sabotaged Open Carry because he/she wanted to help police profile minorities".

I hate it when these morons play politics with peoples lives. Killing a bill because they don't like someone from the Senate and vise versa.

House has completed the local, consent and resolutions calendar.

Eta - well maybe not. Four bills that had signatures for removal from the calendar "no longer have those signatures" so they are being brought back up.

Nothing so far on HB910 or SB11. They are nearing completion of the local, consent and resolutions calendar. Not sure what they will go to after this but my guess is it will be catching up on bills eligible for consideration.

Gotcha. I'm watching all this useless crap and assumed they already passed the more important bills.
