On HB910 conference report, http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLook ... Bill=HB910" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The important stuff begins on page 43.

On SB 11, the conference committee has not filed and distributed a report yet, so I don't think it could be eligible yet.

After the eligible at 7:40 section is the "Senate requests conference committee" section. SB11 is listed there.

The local news last night said the bill has been changed to allow law enforcement to ask for a license if they see somebody open carrying. I guess this is the spin. Removing the restriction in the eyes of the left means it is now allowed. Doesn't matter what the Constitution says. Best thing is to be polite, avoid the ride and file a complaint if this happens. In central Texas I don't think this will be much of an issue but in the San Francisco of the south, I see this being a daily occurence.

Let's hope this passes this year and we can get tweaks and fixes accomplished later. Baby steps
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

OK, so they are the same amendment, but I would say that the original House version is phrased significantly cleaner... Anyone that's passed High School English can tell that the Senate version was obviously written in such a way that it was intended to delay the passing of the bill. :totap:

In other words, the House needs to appoint conferees and then a conference committee must come to an agreement and then file the conference report. That clears the confusion being addressed here.

I see HB 910 on the calendar for the House but not the Senate. As stated above, it is eligible at 7:40 tonight in the House. What about in the Senate?

Yeah, I'm on my phone. My old eyes just missed the line JohnBoy pointed out. Guess I got overly excited.
