When you can speak freely, I really am interested in understanding why SB11 wasn't amended to HB910 in the full Senate.

We wouldn't be here now, if they did.

I think it was postponed until approx. 6:00pm, so there is another bill.

Campus carry could have been added to HB 910 in the House. It was not.

Were there not enough votes in the House to pass this legislation? Did Straus lie to Patrick?

I hope we learn the details of what happened with campus carry this session.

There are lots of other bills behind SB 11 that won't get heard either if they don't knock off this bull. I'm sure glad I don't have to vote for any these idiots. From what I've seen it's always the same ones. I haven't seen my Rep. playing in these games and better not if he wants to continue getting my vote.

Is it technically possible? Yes. Realistically, is SB11 going to pass before midnight? No.

Regardless of my disappointment of SB11, SB 19 is the most disgusting political display I have ever witnessed. I pray Gov Abbott and the Senate see it the same.

SB19 finally being voted on! Apparently there were 15 more amendments that were pulled for some reason.

Some historical inaccuracies for entertainment's sake. But I'm enjoying it.

So Charles, I noticed there was only one pre-filed amendment to SB19, which ended up with 30 or so amendments offered. Is this normal or are there lawmakers/interns that sit around on standby that can crank out crap amendments that the Reps fully know won't be adopted just for the mere purpose of stalling?

3.5 hours until midnight and we've still got DFPS Sunset, spending cap & campus carry
Campus carry has 100+ amendments. Before that comes SB 9 (spending cap) with 13 amendments. 3 hours, 20 minutes to go. #txlege

I could not agree more. I will be even more disgusted if the Senate concurs with the House version and if the Governor does not veto the Bill if the Senate does concur.

I'm watching America's Got Talent. The laptop is on the coffee table in front of me with headphones I can slip on quickly if needed. Refreshing this thread pretty well tells me I don't need the headphones. Plus I can see the bill and amendment they're on.
I past mad, just sad.
