But doesn't reciprocity do that already?

No, some states have less stringent requirements.Texsquatch wrote:But doesn't reciprocity do that already?

Exactly. Why enter a reciprocity agreement with a state where you don't agree with their licensing practices?Texsquatch wrote:But doesn't reciprocity do that already?
Keep calm and carry.

As in the past, CHL reciprocity should be managed by the AG and the Governor's office, not a bill like HB910.
Life is good.

Does Texas recognize any drivers license issued by California? Including those that California are now issuing to illegal aliens? I'm sure Democrats will get right on a bill to not recognize those (since they're issued under a standard less strict than Texas)

it changes "Nursing Home" to "Nursing Facility".TXBO wrote:What was amendment 13? Sounds like it was acceptable to author.

Reciprocity is negotiated by the Governor and AG. Doesn't need to be in this law.

Finally a good amendment.
Codifies the fact that a field trip doesn't turn a place into a GFZ.

True. As to the argument that Texas does not recognize medical licensing from other states -- maybe we should revisit that! (Actually I believe that is underway for EMT licensing...)v7a wrote:Does Texas recognize any drivers license issued by California? Including those that California are now issuing to illegal aliens? Strickland's screwed. It'll start tightening up on him. He won't get invited to the backyard barbecues, his emails and phone calls won't be returned, he'll eat alone in the cafeteria, etc. Documents he leaves to be copied or printed will get "lost," they'll "forget" to invite him to meetings, all kinds of things. You tick these people off, they can get very, very nasty.
