The SR9C is one of my 2 EDC's and there are 2 different holsters that I use.
If I must use a pocket holster, I use a Blackhawk Size 4. An Uncle Mike's size 4 works too.
If I don't need to pocket carry, my preferred holster is a Bianchi Carry-Lok, model 82. This is an OWB rig.
The one I use was originally for my Taurus PT111, but is marked on the back of the holster as "Glock 26".
The Carry-Lok has a great retention device that grips onto the trigger guard.
Advantages to this: Foolproof retention of the weapon and once you use it a few times, the draw is easy.
Although I did not research my particular model of Bianchi regarding all pistols that it would fit, I can carry my
Ruger SR9C or my Springfield XDS in the same holster. The trigger is covered when holstered, and the holster will
accomodate both the Ruger's 10 round and 17 round mags. It will also accomodate both the 5 round and 7 round XDS mags.

My SR9C is my EDC and i use a holster from High Noon Holsters. It's a couple of years old now and still looks and acts like new.

Crossbreed Supertuck when IWB. Desantis mini slide while OWB, which in the last 2 years is 99% of the time.

SR9c carried in a Don Hume IWB. Says H715M No. 30-1. Real leather, metal clip, and reinforced top. Best part, it was well under $50 (can't remember exact amount).

Everyone's got their own opinion. The SR9C is fine for carry, with either the 10 or 17 round magazines.
Heck, I carry it along with my Springer XDS, so I don't agree with whoever your "many" are.
Since you are only 21 posts in, I can also assume that you are new to CHL and carrying.
Trust me - No matter what gun you carry, the longer you carry it, the smaller and lighter it becomes. It's MAGIC!! :-)
After you carry 1 gun for a while, you will then decide that it's time for a BUG (BackUp Gun).
Instead of carrying 1 gun with a backup mag or 2, you may wish to carry 2 loaded guns and skip the extra mags.
It's all good.

I'm a new CHL holder and have a Ruger SR9C that I really like. Thought it might be to big to conceal at first but getting more comfortable every time I do and I like the 9mm caliber. I recently purchased a Bianchi 100 Professional series ($45) and it fits the SR9C very well. That gun was not listed on Bianchi's chart for that holster but I took a chance hoping it was similar enough to another on the list and I am very happy with the fit. I do wear my looser jeans on carry days but it works for me.
Not sure how to post images yet but here is a shared link to see pistol in holster.

The SR9C carries comfortably and conceals well in hybrid-type holsters. I didn't get a Crossbreed due to wait times, but I'm sure they're nice. FOXX Holsters makes a good product at a reasonable price, and ships much more quickly (less than a week both times I ordered from them).
