I have Desantis Thumb Break Scabbard I bought for my 1911. I'd like to use it, but I don't ever use the thumb break.
Does anyone know a leather worker in Houston that could "chop off" the thumb break?
Thanks,

Most any Shoe repair shop could do what you wanted.

You can chop it off yourself. Use an exact-o. Bevel the edge when your done, then burnish.

I agree with the 'do it yourself' above,
However, if you really want to get a 'pro' to do it, you might want to talk to Tucker Gunleather, they're in Houston.

I have a couple holsters I picked up cheap I want to have the same thing done too. I took one into a local saddle shop and the guy kept trying to talk me out of it by telling me that was what held the gun in. I got tired of listening to him and just left. I don't want to have to unsnap anything if I need the gun out.
