Anyone use "The Answer" IWB holster?

#1

Post by AFJailor »

It's from tucker gunleather, I know i saw someone with a picture of it.
I'm looking for a good IWB holster that i can cover a 4" or a 5" 1911 (not sure which to buy yet...) with basically just a t-shirt and this one caught my eye. Any advice would be more than welcome :)

I only know two things about "The Answer": They have more than a month's waiting list, and they are never sold second-hand.

I love my "The Answer" and no have never had a problem carrying with even a t-shirt, untucked is easier, I think tucked prints too much for my taste. Also I have the standard clips, and dont like them to show when I tuck my shirt in.

Consider the J Clips, or something other than the standard clips.

Shirt tucked in (over the holster but in the pants) or untucked (shirt outside of pants and therefore covering the holster, too). ;-)
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I have one and do not like it.

What 'works' for me may not suit the needs of others.

I carry on the point of my hip. Pretty much on the outseam of my trousers.'The Answer' wants to ride behind the hip. Thats OK I guess for a covering garment such as a suit jacket or maybe a pistola with an abbreviated two finger handle.

I have a few holsters, some highy touted and crafted by nationally known craftsmen, but what works for me in a service size handgun is a relatively inexpensive IWB from the folks at FIST worn on the point of the hip bone.

If you will be attending the forum day, you should bring it. You may find a buyer for it.

I have one for a 1911 and love it. I carry a 1911 between 2 & 3 O'clock most of the time.

Bought it from Cyphur very slightly used. Not to ruin seamusTX's theory  .

The only other holster I found anywhere near the slab size of "The Awnser" is Crossbreeds Supertuck IWB

http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/beltslide.html

at about 1/2 the price...I am going to get the supertuck...if its good..I will save my pennies and get the final "Awnser" for all my carry needs

Love my Galcos for my SIGs 229 and 239....but the Tuckers just came in....one for each....been on order for awhile.
So comfortable and very concealable....definitely recommend them....
