I have added a couple of hands to the staff of Practical Personal Defense. Bad Bob & Mean Mike just got out of prison & needed a job. They have both promiced to rehabilitate & help the good citizens of Angelina County & surrounding area learn personal defense. So far they have been model employees.
Meet Bad Bob & Mean Mike.

Two ladies were the 1st to engage them & they did their job well in falling to their 9mm center mass hits.

Practical Personal Defense has added several reactive targets for training. Bad Bob & Mean Mike co-manage the Reactive Dept. which includes popups, plate rack, swingers, & of coarse Mike & Bob.

They have been excellent trainers in close quarters street fight training as well as fire fight training.

Up coming classes will be posted after the holidays.
Thanks & have a very Merry Christmas

Love the hats...very realistic. :thumbs2:

If you could put some hoodies on them, it would be even better.

Actually they both said that was going to be their 1st purchase after their 1st payday.

Those are great, LT! Did you build them yourself?

How much for an impractical personal defense course, where I can do things like call in an artillery strike on the BG, or use a prototype F-35 to make a late-night trip to an ATM in a bad part of town?

In answer to all the above.

MoJo. This was a horse trade deal by my son. Found from a friend of a friend. I am looking for more foam for when these wear out.

Crossfire - I did not make them but have a pattern now. Been wanting an excuse to buy a welding machine & relearn. When I was logging I did all my own work. Built a whole truck once.

Flint - Yes we were talking about that at the range today. They are twins & so identical we have to tell them apart by hats.

I believe these were made by a past president of the Texas Concealed Handgun Association named Dan West. He also ran a little training outfit called Last Resort Resort Firearms Training Academy back in 1998. Former Marine I believe. I had one of the Bad Bobs as they were called. It had a center chest plate that coul be removed so that you had to make a head shot to bring it down. Don't know if they make them anymore as the ones you have shown here are the only other ones I have seen in over a decade. They do work great, but the foam doesn't last as long as you might think. You should be able to buy foam blocks and cut it out with an electric knife for replacements.

Maybe you can get the Work Opportunity Tax Credit for hiring convicted felons. :biggrinjester:

Yes. There's a federal tax credit for hiring felons instead of law abiding people. :banghead:

I'm pretty sure I've seen Mean Mike on the corner of Crosstimbers and Airline here in Houston. Thanks for giving him a worthy job and a chance at REAL rehabilitation, LT!

I think they need to be dressed in cowboy uniforms for active range duty :)
