Advanced Shooting near Abilene...

#1

Post by ProjectKB »

Anyone know of any advanced shooting courses near the Abilene area? Willing to travel, just not willing to go to Fly out and pay $650+ for a Dynamic Handgun/ Tactical Carbine course.

Also if there isn’t a course available near the Abilene area, anyone want to get together and start a course up?? Or know of a place that would allow training of that nature??

Tactical Response Fighting Pistol and Advanced Fighting Pistol in Bastrop in early April. http://www.tacticalresponse.com/course.php?courseID=73. If you have the facilities, they'll come and put on a class.

Tac Pro in Mingus has various classes at their facility. http://tacproshootingcenter.com/

CSAT in Nacogdoches. http://www.combatshootingandtactics.com/calendar.htm

PROJECTKB,
Let me know if you find something near Abilene. I work in Snyder but live in San Angelo and have been looking for some advanced training. Most of the stuff I see is in Metroplex or Houston area...

As I mentioned above, if you get the range/land made available for a course, Tactical Response will com put on a class. We took their Fighting Pistol and Advanced Fighting Pistol in Brady, TX, in 2007. I know they offered the same the courses the next year. Plus some Pat Rogers carbine classes have been held on the same Brady land. Looking at the E.A.G. Tactical (Pat Rogers) page, the carbine class is coming to Brady this spring as well. http://eagtactical.com/courseschedule.asp

Possibly, I may try to look into it if I get some time this week. I have access a lot of people because of one of my bosses so it's a possibility.

Yep, Tactical Response runs a great class. If you are looking for an AK specific class, their Instructor Paul Gomez is the one.
