Looking for a Walther PPQ in 9mm (the model with the mag release on the trigger guard). If you have one available, please let me know.

Thanks.

Last time I was in there (a while ago) Gun Gear to Go had them, and at reasonable prices, too. I know they're a bit of a drive for you, but maybe they'll ship to your local FFL.

Also, if you're successful in your endeavor, keep in mind when you're buying magazines that Walther did a stupid thing and used a different and incompatible mag for the new PPQ-M2, so be sure you're getting the right kind.

Thanks for the info. I will give them a call.

I believe the change was made so the pistol would be better accepted by the US market which is used to having the standard button mag-release instead of the paddles. This is one reason why I'm wanting the old version, so my existing mags will be compatible.

The Walther PPQ has an amazing trigger. I'm not sure why its not more popular? I love mine.

I agree on the trigger, it is excellent. I called Gun Gear to Go but they were out of stock. I've also called numerous academies however they are either out of stock or only have the M2 version.

I saw one last week at an Academy. I think it was the one on I-45 South near Clearwood/Edgebrook. I would doubt that it would still be there today, but you could call and ask. I also frequent the Webster Academy, so it might have been that one.

Thank you. I'll give them a call. I only called the 3 or 4 fairly close to me.

Given any thought to the PPX?
Saw one at Cabela's in Allen today for 429.00(I think).

I hate the looks of the PPX. I am set on the PPQ M1.

There were 2 PPQs at Cabelas this morning in the new style. That's in Allen

That's my fear. With all of the M2 models shipping, the M1 is going to be very difficult to find.

I agree with you about the PPX being ugly.
