WTS: custom Citadel 1911 compact (w/ night sights)

#1

Post by schufflerbot »

up for sale is my favorite carry weapon ever - the Citadel compact 1911. This is a very well constructed weapon and i've taken the already wonderful platform and improved it even more.

modified feed ramp and throat to accept a wider variety of ammunition (work performed by Citadel)
upgraded springs throughout pistol (work performed by Citadel)
reworked/polished trigger assembly resulting in a VERY crisp 4.5lb pull (work performed by Citadel)
custom polished slide
Trijicon tritium night sights installed (novak style)

total spent on this weapon: $860

asking $650

the ONLY reason i am selling is because i sold another pistol and i'm looking to fund the purchase of a high end 1911... those darn things are EXPENSIVE so this baby has to go.

purchased this gun BRAND NEW about 3 months ago, sent it right off to Citadel for customization. she's had right at 300 rounds down the pipe and runs like a TOP!

eats whatever kind of ammo you can throw at her and has performed flawlessly.

the following will come with the pistol:

original case and paperwork
original wood grips (brand new)
rubber grips (shown in pictures)
original sights
leather/kydex hybrid IWB holster
(2) ACT MAG brand magazines

feel free to ask any questions, inly trades i'd be interested in are Kimber carry 1911s (plus cash on my side, of course)

thanks for looking!!

Sometimes, ya gotta wait, be patient, and the right buyer will come along. I waited a month and a half to sell one of my pistols.

Only if I had the funds! This firearms form just makes me wish I had more money!

it's a steel frame and slide and weighs in at 2.06 lbs with an empty mag loaded. nearly identical weight to the Kimber ultra carry HD

Yep, I would love to have it too. Shame I wasn't born rich instead of so darn pretty!! Would love to talk a trade for my M&P 9C if you have a change of heart.

i'm far too hooked on the 1911 platform to consider anymore striker fired systems.

thanks, though - sell your M&P and pick this bad boy up, you'll be a convert too! ;)

I have a line of people that have told me they are interested in the M&P 9c (after handling mine/wife's), as long as it doesn't have a safety.
