*Withdrawn*
I apologize, my plans changed far quicker than I anticipated and I'm flying out today. The pistol is now in storage (out of necessity).
I'm sorry if I got any hopes up then dashed them...
Maybe another time!
Replied to PM's.

I need another M&P right now about as much as a hole in the head, but that's a great price with 5 mags. Hope someone snatches this one soon to remove the temptation

I'd rather keep everything together as a package deal if possible. Edited to add that the night sights are Trijicon, just checked.

Assuming all goes well, temporarily to Yuma for 3-4 months then off to Iraq or Afghanistan as a contractor (UAV pilot) for a while. I'm just waiting on an interim security clearance, then I'm outta here.

Very cool. I have a "Lord of the X-Box" son who would like to know how you get started in that kind of thing....

There's a few companies (like Compass Systems, Navmar Applied Sciences, NEANY and others) who hire based on prior experience flying RC or full-scale planes, rather than flying military UAV's (and require commercial pilot's licenses, instrument ratings and such). I've been flying RC planes since I was about 9, so roughly 18 years of experience flying all types of sizes and power systems, and also dabbling in FPV (first-person view) flying which involves using a camera and transmitter on the plane so you can fly from a monitor on the ground which is essentially what these UAV's require... so I had a bit of advantage there.
If he is looking at this type of job for the future, I'd say get him started on an inexpensive RC plane, and to keep playing flight sims on XBox or PC. There's no substitute for experience. If you want more RC info feel free to PM me, there's a great field in Grapevine (I'm actually still a member).

Sorry for the thread jack but that sounds incredibly interesting. Makes me wish I had been flying RC planes. I'm going to pass this on to a buddy of mine who does and was a helicopter pilot in the Army.

I love my M&P .40 (although I've dropped in a .357 SIG barrel). Bump for a great gun.
