In honor of my 50th post on here, I figured that I'd throw a couple of guns up for trade if anyone is interested. This is my first time to do this, so please forgive me if I leave something off.

The Marlin 882ss .22 Mag was purchased new by me around 2000. I've literally shot less than 100 rounds through it since I purchased it and it has been in my safe it's entire life. I have a couple of extra blued magazines that are included.

The Ruger Single Six only has the .22 Mag cylinder. I'm not the original owner, but this gun has been used very little and I've shot one 50rd box of rounds through it. The single action just wasn't for me. There is very little sign of wear on this gun especially since Ruger shows that it shipped in November 1984.

I'm interested in most firearms and would be willing to trade both of these for one higher valued gun. These two have just been sitting around and don't see myself shooting them very often. I take very good care of my guns and would only trade for well cared for guns in return.

Would like to trade face to face and would prefer it be a CHL holder......

I would be interested in .357, .44 Magnum, 12 Ga, Glocks, etc..... You never know unless you try!

I wish I had something to trade......My boys would have a great time with those....

I just cleaned my friend's old Single six that was made in 1957. Need to talk to him about sending it off to Ruger for the free upgrade kit....

I'm a Ruger fan, but I don't know a whole lot about the Single Sixes. It does seem like the older ones that haven't been upgraded fetch a higher price for some reason. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what the upgrade entailed though.

Updated with an acceptable cash price...

I will likely have very limited internet access until Monday, but will respond to any messages as soon as possible....

Have a nice weekend!

It applies to the "old model" Single Six, pre-1973. Upgrading safety features. They return all the old parts to you for collector's purposes, but do the work for free. They send you a box to ship it in as well. All they ask is that you pay the initial shipping to them, as well as writing them a letter beforehand to get the ball rolling.

PM Replied

Also, thank you Lonewolf for the explanation. I didn't realize that you were allowed to keep the old parts.

I enjoy my Ruger Single Six. I have both the .22 LR & Magnum chambers for it, and it's in stainless steel. Very accurate.

If you weren't so far down south I'd jump on it. I miss my single six with it's nice El Paso Saddlery rig. Lost along with several other arms years ago when my house was broken in to. So sad. :???:

Oh man, sorry to hear about that. They are very nice guns and I've seen that El Paso Saddlery setup. They are top notch!
