WTB S&W 442 or 642
Checking to see if anyone has one gathering dust. Would like a little smaller carry weapon than my XD.

You're not likely to beat this price ($389) by much, even on a used gun http://www.gtdist.com/ProductDetail.asp ... =SW-163810" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Last week they had an additional $20 off any S&W in the store (not sure if that discount is still available).
And no I don't work there or have any affiliation, just a very happy customer.

That is a great price for a 642. I paid 350 for a used 442, although it was only shot 1-2 times.

I paid $400 used and it looked to have 50 or less rounds through it. I lucked out in that it was a no lock model, but you can't beat that price even with ship and transfer.

PM SENT!
I would be interested in a trade deal or just to sell you my 642. I need a primary weapon for the police academy.

I called GTDistributing about the 642 for $389. They are out of stock and expecting them in 8 weeks. $389+$30 freight+sales tax = $455austinrealtor wrote:You're not likely to beat this price ($389) by much, even on a used gun http://www.gtdist.com/ProductDetail.asp ... =SW-163810" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Still not too bad a deal. But mine is in-hand :)

In June I was told that the wait at GT was two weeks for a 642. After three months I bought one in stock with a laser grip. In Dec I got a call that the one I ordered in June was available. Still love GT. If you can handle the wait it was $90 cheaper than anywhere else.

I called GT yesterday and spoke to a young lady who was very helpful. She said they do have a showroom for retail sales and basically the price you pay is the same price for LEO's and such. She did say that some of their guns are off limits to non-leo's, one being the Glock (bummer). I might get a 442 from them.
