Evidently there was gunfire in a restaurant parking lot near the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington at 4 a.m. Sunday. Police don't believe 15-year-old Trinity Gay was in either of the involved vehicles, but may have been struck by stray fire. Police didn't identify her by name, but Tyson Gay's agent, agent Mark Wetmore, confirmed in a text message to The Associated Press that Trinity Gay had been killed.

Sincere prayers for the family. Police did stop one of the vehicles involved in the shooting; I hope someone is prosecuted.

And a cautionary note that little good happens between midnight and the hour before dawn, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. I think few of us armed citizens like to be out and about after oh-dark-thirty on a Saturday, much less would want our 15-year-old daughters to be out at that hour.

Not to blame the victim, but what is a 15 yr-old doing out at 4AM?
My thoughts too! :nono:

If you start noticing what time of day a lot of these shootings happen, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it is very dangerous out there between midnight and 6am.

We will be praying for this family during these trying times.

I was taught I guess 9 months BEFORE I was born, "nothing good happens after 10:00 and if we have to come get you we promise it won't be good."
