Another reason to always make sure you are concealed.

Anti 2A Shannon Watts tweeted out: "Man arrested for tackling man with gun at Walmart. Because America. #gunsense"
So I guess the gun grabbing Bloomberg mom thinks it's OK to commit battery.

An alternate view would be that people living in states where unlicensed open carry is legal get used to the idea that not everyone with a gun is either a cop or a criminal.
I've had people ask me if I was a cop when I open carried, and my response was generally, "No, just an ordinary citizen carrying legally which is the right of every law-abiding citizen in this state ..." The reaction was generally,"Cool, I wasn't aware of that. Am I allowed to carry too?"

I would proffer those who seek to OC in a major metroplex in Texas are in for a rough ride if they act like the OCTC is doing. If they act like, well normal folks, I'd think no one would notice, or else think you are a cop as they did you.

Too bad Daniels wasn't a cop. That would truly have been wonderful. Maybe these MDA types will get the message if enough of them get to spend some time in jail and are financially ruined by court costs.

Foster (the assailant) was not being very smart, especially in a big-time CC state like FL. If he was concerned about what the guy was going to do, he should have gone ahead into the WalMart and alerted the management there. At least, as I read the report, it's not like the man was waving the thing around or otherwise acting suspiciously.
But I agree the guy who got tackled should serve as a reminder to all of us. Concealed means Concealed and if you screw that up, well it might end-up being a very bad mistake.

The mistake is going to be on the side of the tackler. Any idiot who puts a choke hold on someone for no reason deserves EVERYTHING he gets. A choke hold is deadly force and should be dealt with accordingly.

Choke holds are only important if your selling illegal cigarettes.

Some folks are so dumb, they have to be watered twice a week.

Good example of where having training, skills, and maybe a tool or two to peel someone off of you would be handy.

Hmm...I think the tackler is lucky to have just been arrested and not shot or otherwise messed up.
