There's the rub hundreds of people going through the same process every day at different retailers throughout the country with no incidents. Seems to me the "reporter" is missing the great story line of; Where are the bullets?

Idiot is lucky he didn't get shot. Pulling a gun in a line of Texans waiting to buy ammo - you KNOW he was not the only person with a gun in that line.

If anything, this story proves the restraint, level-headed thinking, and likely good de-escalation skills of other CHL holders in line.

However, it seems to belie the old "An armed society is a polite society" maxim...

The line cutting cretins should've realized their bullying ways wouldn't be tolerated.

CHL holder are supposed to be held to a higher standard but every man has a breaking point. I understand why he did it but it does not justify it. Ive been standing in line to buy ammo for 2hrs then some young kids come up and and their buddy towards the front of the line let them cut in 5mins before the door opened. It irritated alot of people off including myself, a off duty LEO was there and made them get into the back of the line before a fight broke out. I told them kids,"this is not the high school lunch line, you have no right to cut in front of people who have been here for hours".

They used the whole phrase instead of the acronym. However, I grant you that they never said the man who pulled the gun was a CHL holder. Could be more media spin...that way they aren't lying about it, per se, they just create that false association in folks' minds.

The video says they don't know if he had a CHL, but if he did and is convicted he will loose his CHL.
