A man has been charged in the murdering of a father bringing a birthday cake into Chuck E Cheese for his child’s birthday party.

Click two always seems to provide us with a photo. I can’t imagine that policy will continue forever. From the booking photo it appears someone with rubber gloves is holding his head in place. We will hear about the low bond tomorrow.

A deputy has been murdered in a traffic stop in Harris County.

It sounded like before the officer even got out of his car the BG got out and shot the officer with a semi automatic rifle.

A 12 year veteran. My prayers to his family and friends.

K9 stabber just released on bond has now murdered his father and is loose and on the lam from the police after crashing his car during a police pursuit.

Houston leads Chicago, NYC and LA in murders this year.

And that is saying something.

Nothing to see here, move along. Not to worry, just another statistic to add to the other 150 plus murders in Harris County by criminals released on bond.

Update, K-9 stabber and father killer on bond, captured a second time.

Update, Deputy murderer with a semi automatic rifle captured in Mexico, now probably wont be extradicted until we promise no death penalty for someone who really needs it. Deputy at traffic stop had no chance, shot through patrol car windshield at least 10 times before he could even get out of the car. Update, man arrested was in US illegally.

Update, Deputy killer drunk driver hit and run woman, naturally released on bond, to kill someone else while drunk.

The murderer, Oscar Rosales, went before a judge in Houston last night. And thankfully--maybe surprisingly--a no-bond was decreed. The judge's name wasn't included in the article above, but the way things have been going it makes me want to email his or her office a note of thanks.

In a different Fox News report, it was stated that Rosales had been in the U.S. illegally for over 25 years, and was--either previously or currently--on parole for a 1995 felony assault conviction. Illegal alien, if ever deported then came back again illegally, convicted felon on parole, and a felon in possession of a firearm...but because it was reported as an "assault style" rifle, I've already seen inevitable comments about gun laws. The guy was a walking rap sheet of criminal offenses but, sure, it's the gun's fault.

Also of interest is that two of Rosales's relatives have been charged with evidence tampering. According to court records, Rosales's wife and brother-in-law are accused of trying to cover up Rosales's involvement in the case.

But one bit of news that was highlight for me: the cufflinks that Corporal Charles Galloway wore on his belt when he was murdered were sent to Del Rio, and they were the ones used to shackle Rosales when Mexican authorities turned him over to U.S. officers.

Rest in peace, Corporal Galloway.

I repeated this above because it needs repeating.

However a new day more crime.

Man involved in a minor car accident pulls a gun on the other driver to rob him and accidentally shoots himself.

And oh yeah, he was out on bond. Gun was stolen. Citizenship unknown.

3 police officers were shot today during a police chase in midtown. Conditions unknown transported to hospital. Update All in non life threatening conditions.

White Mercedes. Radio reports of doors open and people in the car firing at the following police. Nope, now reports officers were walking up to car after a chase and occupant opened fire.

Beto the gift that keeps giving.

Prayers for those officers right now.

Geez!

My son and his wife just bought a home in Sugarland. I sure do hate hearing about all the crime in that area. On the good side of it, while visiting at Thanksgiving and sitting on his back patio, I watched half a dozen good sized deer cross through on the back side of his lot juat on the other side of his fence. I thought that was cool. My patio features the sounds of cars rushing by and the view of a wood fence, mine.
