Mom who killed her kids wants her cut of their estates

In the continuing story about how messed up New York is:

A mom drowned her three kids in the bathtub, then was unsuccessful at killing her self. Tried twice including jumping out a second floor window.

She was ruled not guilty by reason of insanity in the death of her children.

The fathers of the three dead children sue the County on behalf of the dead children for failing to prevent her from killing her children and they receive a bunch of money.

Since she was found not guilty and she is the children's mother, she is suing to get her share of the money received.

The State is run by morons. How are the People responsible to the father for this cretin woman's criminal actions? If the People are responsible for paying a 350,000 settlement to this guy for the actions resulting from his "interlude" with a killer then the People should have the ability to ensure it does not happen again. Maybe a "preemptive" sterilization project needs to be started on a massive scale...

The claim was against Nassau County, and claimed that the social services agency was negligent in that it had been asked to make an investigatory visit to the woman by one of the grandmothers, and when the agents went to the house, no one answered the door. They blew it off after that, instead of coming back later, or the next day, or the next day when Momma offed the kids in her delusional belief that she was protecting them from Voodoo.
