Who knew that tactical use of yogurt was a more serious offense (felony), than brandishing a firearm (misdemeanor)? :smilelol5:

When you think about it, what the yogurt thrower did was actually really dangerous. Throwing something at another car that could potentially obscure the driver's vision, while driving at "interstate speeds," could have resulted in a lot of people being hurt. Not to mention that Mr Yogurt was the one who elevated this from bad driving to menacing the other driver and then to an actual attack. The big mistake was that driver 2 should have just called the cops and not brandished his weapon. Thank goodness there wasn't granola mixed into that yogurt!

Mr. "Have Yogurt, Will Travel" also put his mancard in jeopardy.

Does Texas have a "#77" type hotline to report stuff like this?

I heard about a similar case in Texas where someone was arrested for throwing a Big Gulp at a car.

My neighbor had some kids throw a large thin plastic Taco Bell cup full of soda at at his windshield as he was driving down the road at about 40 mph and it busted the windshield. Had he been going faster, it might have gone through. Mythbusters did a show on this with a Slurpee and it went through the windshield at higher speed.

Bottom line, if you throw anything with any mass at all at a moving vehicle, it has the potential to penetrate the glass and is very dangerous. I don't disagree with the charges that were assessed against the individuals and the level of severity the laws have established. Personally, I think the guy who drew his gun was justified due to the potential of items thrown from a vehicle causing serious injury.

My brother learned this firsthand in elementary school when he threw a small rock at the windshield of a passing car traveling at about 40 mph. Shattered the windshield and the rock did penetrate into the car. The driver was fine, but understandably upset. I still don't think my brother learned anything.

And the best news--2 more idiots off the streets (albeit only temporarily)... There are too many idiots out there behind the wheel that think they own the damn streets.. Guy in Lexus should have simply dialed the #77 number and let the cops deal with the retarded, self-centered, jack-wagon in the Toyota. 2 wrongs don't make a right, but it appears the cops did.. Make it right..
