I feel like I need to change the title. It is misleading for sure after the facts came out. I guess prayer never hurt.

Based on what I know about this case I'd love to re-title it, but it would violate forum rules and decorum.

I have left it up as a commentary on how the narrative changed.

There has still been no information released on how many wounded police officers were hit by friendly fire or if the dead homeowners even ever fired a gun.

I’m sure this is all known.

Trial for the former police officer has started.

This says that the homeowner shot four of the officers.

This is the first time that has come out. I had suspected that all were shot by friendly fire.

I have no sympathy for this slug of a human being. There are more people involved who are responsible for putting the raid, which was retaliatory, in motion. I hope the whole truth comes out.

Ditto. Hopefully he is convicted and sent to prison to spend quality time with people he may have helped be falsely convicted.

Good!

Now, doesn't this mean he is responsible for injuries to the other officers? Or did I miss or forget them already being held accountable for their parts in that mess?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I'm glad the family is getting justice.

Guessing Art hasn't taken any responsibility?

I hope it stands up in appeals. If it does stand I hope he will come clean on the full telling of what occurred to put the whole tragic episode into motion in the first place.

Sentenced to 60 years. Which is a life sentence for him.
