Having an LCP on you certainly beats having something in your bride's purse,
but consider this:

I don't know your personal preference for church attire, but myself, I always wear a sport jacket
or suit jacket to church. This allows me to carry 2 pistols: my Ruger SR9C, 17 + 1, in an OWB holster
on my right hip, as well as my XDS45, 5 + 1, in my right front pants pocket.

With this setup I have 24 rounds on me, and could hand off one of the pistols to a friend if something
went bad at church.

I would suggest to any and all that wearing a sport jacket or suit jacket will allow you to greatly increase
your round count & caliber during church services.

Now if I could just convince my LTC gal who sits near to me to get over herself and bring her Colt wheelgun
every week, instead of feeling "funny" about church carry. She knows it's legal. Sheesh. :-)

SIA
N. Texas LTC's hold 3 breakfasts each month. All are 800 AM. OC is fine.

3rd Saturdays: Golden Corral, 465 E. I-20, Collins St exit, Arlington.
4th Saturdays: Sunny St. Cafe, off I-20, Exit 415, Mikus Rd, Willow Park.

Just because someone has a LTC and carries DOES NOT mean they know how to respond during an active shooter event. I doubt even half of LTCers have had the training to respond.

I'm sick to my stomach. My first thoughts were who would want to kill Christians? Was it racist, or religious persecution? After thinking a bit, it really doesn't matter. Whatever the motivation innocent lives were ended, and I wish there had a been someone there who could have took this scumbag down the moment he showed his gun.

My God grant peace and comfort to the victims families.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Not sure how accurate this is so consider the source. Reporting killer's name is Devin Patrick Kelley.

Idiots interviewing an idiot.
Sam Hyde is an Internet meme, and Gonzalez totally fell for it. What an idiot. Someone should tell him the shooter’s real name is Leroy Jenkins, just to see if he repeats that nonsense too.

Full combat gear. Said to be not from around there.
14 year old pastors daughter murdered.

I am devistated that this has occurred.

I do not understand the evil in men's hearts.
Republicans will join Democrats in new common sense laws restricting “combat gear.”

Given the type of separation from the military, wouldn't it be illegal for him to own a gun?

Never trust any shooting report that says the shooter was Sam Hyde. It's a hoax name. https://www.buzzfeed.com/ishmaeldaro/sa ... .nqP0bAPDG

If he was actually convicted at the Court Martial, which it sounds like he was, then I do believe it is illegal. A court martial conviction is the same as a felony conviction.

Witness on CBS that gave first aid, reports that someone inside the church returned fire and continued firing as the shooter got into his truck, shattering his window.

Its a witness report so you know how those go but he seemed extremely credible and he moved in to render immediate assistance.
