There was complete and total gun control at this club. That's why 50 people lost their lives. Because of gun control.
They want to destroy all semi-automatic rifles in US. The only rifles allowed are 3-rds bolt rifles for hunting purpose only.
And how do they plan to destroy the "assault" rifles that are currently in the hands of terrorists and criminals in the US? Ask for voluntary compliance? What about ammonium nitrate and other materials that can be used as weapons?

You are asking too many valid questions, you are making a lot of sense. Hilary would say zip it up.

Swore allegiance to ISIS.

I am concerned just like in Paris, that many of these venues do not have enough exits and the exits they do have are concentrated at the front, when if controlled by a terrorist do not leave any way for the people to quickly exit. That and of course this was likely a gun free zone, so no one can defend themselves by shooting back.

Horrible.

Everyone 'exiting' is part of the problem when there is an 'active shooter' situation that occurs in a small space.

Reportedly there were 320 patrons in the building and ONE terrorist. What would happen if 200 people charged the shooter instead of offering him their backs as they ran!

The answer of course is: They would quickly overpower him and end the threat.

Yes it would come at some 'cost' and certainly it goes against the 'nature' of most folks, but we need to give this some thought.

SURELY there were strong, able bodied men in the room. Did NO ONE fight back?

These are different times folks. 'Running' isn't always going to be the best thing to do.
Very well put Flint :iagree: Prayers for all families and friends.

Just saw Obama's speech and while he alluded that this was a terrorist act, he still said we need more gun control.
Obama said there was "no precise motivation of killer" in the Orlando massacre completely ignoring jihadi Omar Mateen's screaming "allahu akbar!" during the shooting and his 911 call pledging allegiance to ISIS. :mad5

Not related to the shooting (as a motive or cult affiliation), but it is an extremist view coming from Iran.

We are going to hear about universal background checks, even though this guy was an armed security guard. We are going to hear about no guns for anyone on a terrorist watch list, even though this guy was not on any lists. The liberals will use this for their agenda.

I will use it to help get 51% locations no longer off limits for LTCers.

Sebastian Gupta was on Fox News quite a bit today. I looked for and bought his book, "Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War" and have now read about half of it.

This caught my eye:
Islam is not a “religion” in the sense this term is commonly understood. It is a system encompassing all fields of living. Islam means politics, economics, legislation, science, humanism, health, psychology and sociology.

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Flintknapper. The thing is, we have mostly become a nation of ease-seeker , whiners and malcontents -- each out for the greatest reward for essentially no risk -- where we used to be a nation of doers, thinkers and warriors. It is no big surprise that the predominant response is to flee in the face of evil when one has not prepared at least mentally to face it.

Beiruty wrote:I am really shocked and horrified about the mass killing that happened in Orlando, on the hand of violent criminal mind (no need to mention his name).
In this Holy month of Ramadan, the month of worshiping, forgiveness, and generosity, the month of mercy we witness such heinous criminal act. Call it terrorism, call it criminal, call it viscous, call it a savagery. Call it whatever you want, nonetheless, It is un-Islamic act. Such act is nothing but a result of Wahhabi violent ideology justifying targeting innocent civilians.
Innocent Muslims are being killed in thousands on the hands of ISIS, a freaky bunch of international criminals whose sole purpose of existence is to live to kill. ISIS violent-ideology is like cancer, it metastasis all across the globe.
Muslims all around have to rise and fight such Wahhabi-violent ideology of indiscriminate killing for the sake of killing. Condemning it in words is not enough. All the humanity shall rise and fight those who target innocent civilians wherever they are.
Very well said sir

Had to wait to chime in on this one as my blood was at the boiling point.

Beiruty, you've hit it right on the head.
Many are unaware of the Wahhabi component. You pointed it out and you are 100% right on.

The fanaticism comes largely from Saudi's, and they need to have their stinky feet held to fire for many things, and in my opinion, they are a huge contributing factor to this mess.

I'll say no more. Prayers for victims and their families.
Do a little research on the amount of US debt held by the Saudis. It's scary.

Funny how this works. Those of us whom Daniel's book has been unsealed, must remain silent. Those who have not a clue are given barrels of ink.

Who is "Daniel" and what book are you referring to?
