Ranges in San Antonio?

I like Bracken Range but it is not really on my side of town

I have been to San Antonio Gun club once for skeet but their prices are too high.

Do y'all know any other places around San Antonio to shoot. Pistols, shotguns, or both.

Yep, that puts you away from just about all the shooting ranges I know about. Southside is A Place to Shoot, Bracken you know about, all the rest I have heard of are on the west side of town. As in the far west side of town outside of 1604.

I like Cedar Ridge Range on F.M. 1863. Price is good and unlike Bracken they do not charge by the gun. Its a flat fee per person.

Where is A Place to Shoot, I work on the shouthside, so I could go during the week.

I guess I could use Google, but where is Cedar Ridge?

OK, I found them. A place To Shoot is not far from work so I will be there soon.

And, I now remember going to cedar Ridge. I shot sporting clays on a team for a fund raiser. about 2 years ago. It was A nice place for sporting clays. Thats all I know.

Does anyone know anything about that place out 471 on the way to Medina lake? National Shooting Complex, or something?

So I went to Aplace To Shoot yesterday after it stoped raining. I was the only one on the pistol range. Their setup is new to me. The only thing I didn't like was if I wanted to shoot at 7 yards, I would have this cable in my face. Also because it was a little windy I was shooting at a moving target. Not all bad but I was shooting my new Glock 27 for the first time and wanted to start out slow.

Bullet Hole on the West Side. I drive about 28 miles each way when I could go to Cedar Ridge which is far closer. Bullet Hole is something like a one time charge of 10 bucks (covers ID). Then, its 7.50 (includes a target) each time you shoot there. Shoot as long as you want, as many guns as you want, with your own ammo. Nice folks there. Check out there site...

Don't go to A Place to Shoot without a shotgun, if they still have the Crazy Quail it is to shotgun's what the Texas Star is to handgun's.

Heard good things about Cedar Ridge and their IDPA and Carbine matchs are run by "Iron Mike" Webb a shooter who's known to a lot of competitors and who usually S.O.'s at the Nationals. Here's a blurb from his latest email about their next upcoming match:

There's a place I know of. It's a little further away that most of the other gun clubs that y'all are talking about, but I think that the range fees and the people are more than worth the drive. Take I-10E towards Houston to Trainer Hale Rd., right on Trainer Hale, and a few miles down, on the left is a sign for Bexar County Shooting Range. They have Trap/Skeet/Pistol/25 yd rifle/100 yd rifle. If you limit the number of targets used, then you can go and blaze for around $10-$20 or so. No price per gun, and I don't believe there is any price per person. My dad and I are both members, so we encourage anyone who wants a decent place to shoot to look into it. I live near 1604 and 281, so it's a decent drive for me, but I find it's worth it every time.
