Are there any ranges in the North Houston/Spring/Conroe area that offer a LARGE selection of handguns for rent? I hear about these ranges in other states on different forums, but don't know of any down here in these parts.

Shooters Station in Conroe has a very good selection of rental guns.

I'll second Shooter's Station. They have a few rentals. Mostly Glocks, a few revolvers, and a Beretta Storm, and a 1911.

If your even in College Station, Champions Firearms has a large rental selection.

It's a small drive, but Champions in Aggieland had a large selection of handguns for rent last time I was there.

Heck I'd even make the trek with ya, I like Champions.

I'll meet you guys. It's 1 across Harvey from my place.

It's 5 bucks to rent and I've heard they sell more firearms per capita than any place in houston. The range is pretty nice too, auto target retrieval thingies and all that.

From memory Champions has:

Most if not all "common" glocks.

SA 1911s

Kimber: Ultra Carry, TLE II w/ Rail, Custom.

Most common Sig models.

S&W revolvers

Beretta 92/96 (can't remember) and an elite version of previous.

Beretta CX4

THey have many, many more I'm sure but I'm drawing a blank. I do know that they sold off thier H&K stock from rentals, but recently started carrying them again on the floor so they may be in the range by now.

Let me know if you are looking for something specific and I'll check or call mike and katy and ask 'em.

I wonder if their staff "picks straws" to see who has to clean all of those weapons at the end of the day.

I recommend Champion Firearms in College Station as well. Enjoyed renting from their fine selection until I finally committed to one.

A well-kept range also. Makes me wish I was back in CS...a little bit.
