Are there any ranges that allow tactical shooting between downtown Houston and Galveston area?
At least one that allows you practice drawing from your holster and shooting?
My local range doesn't even allow holsters on the premises.

Pearland Shooting Club (PSC). Member-owned range that has just about everything.

Re: Tactical Ranges?
Like others have said earlier, PSC is a great place to shoot and very accommodating for the handgun shooter.
Aside from PSC, in my limited experience, some ranges that have written rules against drawing from holsters may be willing to exempt clients/members who demonstrate competency with drawing from a holster, whether via competition or training.
Ask and you might be surprised.

Try Best Shot Range in Friendswood. It's just off of 2351 about a mile or two West of I-45. They also have a 2hour tactical shoot every Sunday evening beginning at 5 P.M. that includes some coached practice and shooting one or two scenerios with cover.
