Gainesville - Any ranges within 50 miles?

#1

Post by Fibber Magee »

Just renewed my CHL over at Sherman (nice range, good people and sqeeky clean. But, strictly shooting lanes and your brass is gone as soon as it goes ahead of the firing line) I'm sure it is a "Bullseye Shooters" idea of paradise. Without CCGR and Backwoods I can't find anyplace just to go and play.

Would like to shoot IDPA and USPSA (I'm a member of both) but that looks like Greenville (2 hour drive ?, and thats one way). Same goes for CAS which looks like fun and I even have the guns for it. Have considered Wichita Falls but thats a long haul too.

Don't really want to go down into the Dallas area if I can help it. When I retired I moved out in the country to get away from all that, but guess I will if I have to.

Any help?

Denton County Sports Association, Inc. in Denton is about an hour (45 miles) from Gainesville.

I've never been there but I have heard good things about the place.
