You can get beer in the gas stations too.

Beer and wine are different from "distilled spirits". In McKinney, you can buy beer and wine in grocery and convenience stores. You can't buy liquor (by the bottle) anywhere in McKinney. But you CAN buy it by the drink at Applebees. Apparently it is OK to drink while in a public location, then (presumably) drive home. But there is something immoral about bringing a bottle home to enjoy in the privacy, and safety, of your own home. Makes no sense to me, either... :headscratch

Yeah, I've always thought that was a stupid loophole to the law pertaining to the sale of hooch.
Anyways......I think we have taken this far enough off-topic.

Looks like McKinney has approved the zoning change needed for this to move ahead another step. I'm still waiting patiently.
